Lance is the senior pastor at HBC where he has served since November 2000.He is a graduate of Sam Houston State University (BA 1991; MA 1994), Dallas Theological Seminary (ThM 2001), and Newburgh Theological Seminary (PhD, apologetics, 2012).

Lance has been married to Cheryl since June of 1993, and he is the proud father of Daniel and Brooke.
In addition to his love of Bible study, theology, and teaching, Lance loves to fish and play golf, and he lives and dies with the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Astros season after season.

As a pastor, his motivating Bible verse is 2 Timothy 4:2: "Preach the Word. Do it in season and out of season. Correct, rebuke, and encourage with great patience and careful instruction."

Doug is the associate pastor over counseling, music and youth at HBC where he has served since July 2017. He graduated from Criswell Bible college with a degree in biblical studies in 2002. After that, Doug studied at Dallas Theological Seminary where he received his MA in biblical studies in 2006. Prior to his time here at HBC he has served as a youth pastor, a worship pastor, an associate pastor, and in the marriage counseling ministry with Marriage Revolution.

Doug has been married to Maggie since 2006, and loves being the father of his daughter, Piper and his son, Fisher. Besides enjoying his role in the ministry, Doug also loves football, fishing, bike rides with the family, and a good movie.

The Scripture that’s been the compass for his life has been Mark 8:35, “For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and for the Gospel will save it.”

Paul is the facilities manager over building maintenance at HBC where he has served since November 2022.  He is also responsible for assisting Lance with various Adult Ministries such as Mens, Seniors and Young Adult Ministries. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Civil Engineering. He served in the public sector for 32 years and finished his engineering career as a project manager for Harris County Precinct Three. He enjoyed working with the public and constructing projects that served the transportation and safety needs of the Harris County community.

Paul has been married to Leslie since 1995, and is the father of two daughters and a son, Brooke, Paige, and Grant. He and Leslie were part of the original team that help plant Harvest Bible Church with Lance and Cheryl Waldie. Besides serving the members of Harvest Bible, Paul also enjoys celebrations with family, working outside, “fixing” things and fishing.

The scripture that has recently motivated him to know Christ more deeply is Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.” 

Julie oversees and implements all daily operations of the church office supporting the pastors, staff and church members with a variety of administrative duties.

Julie has been married to Curt since 1992 and they have two adult daughters, Holly (married to Mike) and Courtney (married to Jared). Julie is thankful for Harvest's commitment to teach the Bible which supports her spiritual growth and faith in Jesus Christ. 

Misti oversees our Sunday morning and Wednesday night children's ministry activities as well as Children's Camp during the summer. She is wife to Brian and mom to Kyle, Connor, and Jensen. She loves equipping our Children's Ministry volunteers with the needed resources to teach the Word of God to kids here at Harvest.

Kim leads our AWANAS ministry and directs our annual Vacation Bible School every summer here at HBC. She is wife to Joe and mom & homeschool teacher of Lauren (married to Ryan Cobb), Josh (married to Meagan), Emily, Jared, Katherine, Angelina & Christina. 

John works to keep our building clean and comfortable for our members and guests. He has been married to his beautiful wife Madi for 15 years and they have an adult son, Jeff. 

Joe serves HBC by keeping us connected with technology as well as coordinating our team of Greeters. He is husband to Kim and father to Lauren (married to Ryan Cobb), Josh (married to Meagan), Emily, Jared, Angelina, Christina & Katherine. 

 Leslie has been privileged to serve as an involved member at Harvest Bible Church since its inception in 2001. She stayed home to raise her three children while serving in the HBC children’s, youth, & women’s ministries for many years. She now works part-time at HBC as the Senior Adult & Compassion Coordinator. It is a joy for her to continue ministering to the needs of the saints alongside her husband (Paul) & daughter (Paige). 

Paige is an Administrative Assistant for Youth and Young Adult ministries. She is the wife of Zach Scotton. Paige has been attending Harvest Bible Church her whole life and loves their commitment to teaching the Word of God accurately and with conviction, equipping God's people to live out their faith.
