Frequently Asked Questions
A typical service will last about 90 minutes. We sing a good mix of contemporary and traditional music that is led by our worship team. There is childcare available and activities for all age groups. Plan to hang around after the service for fellowship and meeting new people.
1. What is your worship service like?
During the first 15 minutes, we sing three worship songs, have a brief time of greeting those around us followed by announcements, a short Scripture reading, and prayer. For the next hour, our pastor teaches a portion of Scripture verse by verse, picking up each week where he left off the week before, until he has taught through an entire book of the Bible.
2. What is your music like?
Our music is focused on worshiping God, and the songs have lyrics that are doctrinally sound. Accompanied by a small music team, we typically sing one hymn and two contemporary Christian songs.
3. Do I need to bring a Bible?
Since our pastor teaches verse-by-verse, it's good to have a Bible with you so you can follow along. If you don't have one, we would be happy to give you a Bible for you to keep. Just ask one of our greeters at the welcome desk.
4. What should I wear to church?
Although worshiping God is not about our attire, it's a reverent time, so we ask that you attempt to dress in an appropriate manner, such as business casual. Of course, we want everyone to feel free to join us in worshiping God without being overly concerned about outward appearance.
5. Do you have coffee?
We start early, so we have coffee and plenty of it! You can enjoy your coffee in the foyer area by the coffee bar or bring it with you to Sunday School. However, we ask that you not bring coffee or other drinks into the sanctuary.
